For the most part, people start their respective business (s) because they have been and continue to be exceptional at what they do. Question 2: If this job that I need to fill could talk, how would the job say it motivates or rewards someone in the job e.g. if the job rewards or drives those who thrive on interacting with people, would someone that prefers a quiet and solitary job be the right fir for the job…maybe not?
Question 3: If this job that I need to fill could talk, what specific personal skills would this job ask for ensuring superior performance. Every job will say it requires technical competence, but regardless on how much technical competence the job requires, if this technical value cannot be delivered effectively through effective personal competence, the job means nothing and is useless to the business in general.
This may seem a little complex to you…if so, consider taking the 3 questions and ask yourself these questions relative to your own job as Business Owner/CEO or President of your business. Something like this…
Question 1: If my job as Business Owner/CEO or President could talk, what specific behaviours does my job ask for ensuring I perform at a superior level for my business?
Example behaviours you could think of when answering this question are:
