You are working flat out and still falling behind.

It is following you home, and working harder is not fixing it. We find where the money and the time are leaking, stop the bleed first, and then rebuild, so the business starts paying you back instead of taking from you.

WHEN THE BUSINESS TAKES INSTEAD OF PAYING

You are not lazy, and you are not bad at your trade. The jobs are getting done and the phone still rings. The money just never lands where it should.

You did the work. You should get paid for it.

  • You finish a good month and there is somehow nothing left.
  • You move money from one job to cover another and call it temporary.
  • You chase payment for work you finished six weeks ago.
  • Payroll math at two in the morning. Suppliers calling your cell.
  • Some months you skip your own wage so the crew gets theirs.

Home gets whatever is left of you, and lately that is not much. A business should give back more than it takes. When it takes more than it gives, that is not just exhausting. It is wrong, and it is fixable.

This is almost never a work-ethic problem, and usually not a revenue problem either.

It is chaos in the money and the systems, and chaos leaves a paper trail. In most trades businesses we sit down with, the money to turn things around is already in the business: mispriced work, uncollected invoices, and margin bleeding out of jobs nobody is costing. Finding it is where the work starts.

STOP THE BLEED FIRST, THEN REBUILD

Rescue work runs in a strict order, because order is exactly what a business in trouble is missing.

1
First, we talk

Your free 90-minute Business Building Session. We get clear on what is really going on and how serious it is. No 40-page report, no lecture. If it is a fit, we go through your books together and show you exactly where the money and the time are leaking.

2
Second, we stabilize

We stop the bleed: pricing that carries margin, collections that do not depend on you nagging, and job costing so you know which work makes money and which quietly costs you. Cash becomes predictable, so you can breathe.

3
Third, we rebuild

The simple systems that stop the trouble coming back, across money, systems, time, and people. We work alongside you for as long as the rebuild takes. To place your business precisely, we use the Seven Stages of Growth method from The ReWild Group.

And nobody needs to know. No announcement to your crew, no consultant parked in your shop, no drama. Changes are staged as normal business decisions, so the company keeps running while it heals.

WHAT GETTING YOUR BUSINESS BACK LOOKS LIKE

The first win is knowing:

  • Which jobs make money.
  • Where this month's cash actually stands.
  • What is safe to promise your suppliers, your crew, and your family.

From there: margin on every job you take, invoices collected without you chasing them, a real wage for you that does not depend on a lucky month, and evenings where the business is not sitting at the table with you.

Rescue is not the end of the story either. The same systems that stop the bleed become the foundation the business grows on. Owners who came to us in trouble have gone on to pass the test that matters: leave for six months and come home to a business that is the same or better.

WHO YOU ARE WORKING WITH

We have built and run businesses ourselves. We know what it is like to work harder every year and wonder where the reward went, and what it is like when the pressure follows you home.

Behind the empathy sits real authority:

  • Close to 30 years of leadership experience.
  • A proven way to read how people actually work, so the right people end up in the right seats.
  • The Seven Stages of Growth method from The ReWild Group, so we always know what your business needs as it grows. Bruce Baker is a Certified Organizational ReWilding Adviser with The ReWild Group.
  • A 5-star Google rating from 48 reviews by Alberta owners.

The owners in those reviews are not startups. They are trades and contracting people who were where you are, and many are still with us years later.

Not sure how serious it is?

Take the two-minute check and see where you stand and what to fix first. It takes about two minutes and needs no conversation.

Frequently asked questions

Is it too late for my business?

If the phone still rings and work is still coming in, it is almost never too late. Trouble in a trades business is usually leaks, not a dead market: mispriced jobs, uncollected money, and costs nobody is tracking. The free 90-minute session gives you a straight read on where you stand and whether this looks fixable. When we go through your books together at the next step, you will know exactly what fixing it takes.

I cannot afford help right now.

That is exactly why the process starts with Discovery: finding money that is already in your business. In most rescues the turnaround is funded out of the leaks we close, recovered margin, collected receivables, and repriced work, not out of new spending. The first session is free, and once we go through your books we will tell you plainly whether the work can fund itself.

Will my crew or my customers know the business is in trouble?

No. There is no announcement and no visible consultant in your shop. We work directly with you, changes roll out as normal business decisions, and the first ones your crew notices are usually good news: clearer scheduling, cleaner handoffs, and payroll that is never in doubt.

Can you just fix my cash flow and leave the rest alone?

Cash flow is where rescue starts, and the cash flow work stands on its own. We will tell you plainly, though: cash flow trouble is usually the symptom. Pricing, job costing, and collections are where it gets caused. Stopping the bleed without fixing the causes means booking the same rescue again next year, so we show you the full picture and you choose how far to take it.

How is this different from my accountant or my bank?

Your accountant reports what already happened, and your bank lends against it. Neither one changes how the business runs. We work inside the operating side: pricing, collections, job costing, scheduling, and people, with one test for every session: it moves top-line revenue or protects margin. Rescues usually make your accountant's and your banker's jobs easier, not harder.

What does it cost?

Pricing depends on the level of support and your revenue band, and we will not quote you until we have understood what you are trying to fix. That is what the free session is for. The program is month to month with no long contract, and rescue engagements are structured so the money we find in your business funds the work.
