Part 1 – Introducing Bruce Baker at Workplaces: Leadership Coach in Edmonton
Hello everybody, Jeremy Burke, Director of Business Development for dry run, providing another video with an experts today. We have CEO of workplaces Bruce Baker, who is a business Builder and human resource expert and helping out businesses. He’s located here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, as I am as well too, and invited him to talk and share his thoughts and opinions on Covid‑19, the impacts on Business from his standpoint and his customers’ viewpoint there. Hi Bruce. Hey Jeremy. Hi everyone. Hello, thanks for having me.
Excellent there, I’m glad that you could make time there. I know that you have a large clientele that is talking to you and wondering about help and strategies there to navigate the storm and delay in business that we’re having right now; it’s greatly impacting everybody. Do you want to just kind of tell us about the kind of businesses that you work with and help?
Yeah, absolutely. So we work with businesses anywhere between 5 to 15 employees, all the way up to about 2 300 employees, so around about 1 million to about $10 million of annual revenue.
All Businesses Need Cash
Perfect, okay, and that’s coincidentally there the clientele that dry run happens to work with as well too there, so we work with multi‑million dollar businesses up to usually about 10 million and as much as $100 million annually revenue. And, much like I’ve experienced in the last few days, we’ve been getting a lot of calls talking about cash. You must be getting a lot of calls talking about managing business and growth and strategy. So what are some of the calls and conversations that you are having with your clients right now that they’re top of mind and worried about?
Absolutely. So Jeremy, I think you nailed it in many respects. The three major themes that we’re having discussions on a regular basis for is really, you know, do I have to lay off my employees? How long do I have to lay my employees off? If I’m not laying my employees off, you know, how do we deal with virtual working environments, employees working from home, having employees in the field; what does that look like? If I can still maintain that, what should I be doing? And the bigger one, not necessarily the bigger one, but the more pertinent one is, you know, we’re not making Revenue right now, so what are the best practices to deal with how we we conserve and track the current cash revenue that we are at least making? We can.
